The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Atlantic, IA, is dedicated to empowering aspiring leaders to foster a just and equitable food system. This innovative program offers comprehensive training in organic food systems without charging tuition, ensuring accessibility for all. Selected Fellows engage in hands-on, experiential learning at the Allegheny Farm, where they cultivate diverse crops, implement community health education, and promote food literacy in schools. Our Fellows collaborate with local organizations to enhance food access, support farmers markets, and mentor the next generation of advocates in their Community Action Year. With a focus on social, environmental, and economic justice, we invite passionate individuals to join us in transforming the local food landscape. Applications are welcomed until March, with the fellowship running from May to October each year.
