Based in Boone, IA, CORE is dedicated to providing crucial financial assistance to families working in the restaurant industry who face financial challenges due to medical emergencies or illness. We understand the unique pressures that come with this profession, especially for those with children. Our program offers essential support for various expenses, including rent or mortgage, utilities, funeral costs, medical bills and supplies, therapy, travel, and food associated with hospital visits, as well as childcare needs such as diapers and formula. We believe in empowering our recipients by offering assistance that is both practical and compassionate, ensuring families can navigate tough times with dignity. While former CORE grant recipients may reapply after 12 months for either the same or new qualifying conditions, support is capped at $7,500 over a lifetime to ensure we can help as many families as possible.
