Family Development and Self-Sufficiency (FaDSS) is dedicated to empowering low-income families in Carlisle, IA, to break the cycle of poverty through tailored support and practical strategies. Our focused family development model involves personalized, one-on-one meetings where trained specialists work closely with families to identify barriers and create actionable goals in areas such as employment, physical health, education, substance abuse, and mental health. With dedicated family development centers across Hardin, Marshall, Tama, Story, and Poweshiek counties, we actively engage in regular home visits, ensuring that families receive the personalized assistance they need to foster self-sufficiency.
