The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Cedar Falls, IA, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to be champions of an equitable food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education without tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all. Selected Fellows participate in a six-month immersive experience at our Farm Campus, where they engage in hands-on learning and then transition into a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to implement community-driven food initiatives. Throughout their journey, Fellows may grow and distribute diverse crops, lead educational sessions on innovative health care, maintain community gardens, and promote food literacy in schools. We believe in the power of local partnerships and provide support for farmers markets, direct-to-consumer programs, and community food coalitions, all aimed at increasing access to healthy food for everyone.
