The Backpack Program in Cedar Rapids, IA, is dedicated to alleviating child food insecurity by providing emergency food assistance to those in need. Each week, we partner with local schools to discreetly send home bags filled with nutritious, single-serve food items for children, ensuring they have enough to eat over the weekend when access to meals is limited. Through the collective efforts of schools, volunteers, and community partners, we successfully reach and support hundreds of hungry children in our community, fostering hope and nourishment for a brighter future.
