Located in Centerville, IA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a more just and sustainable food system through comprehensive education and community engagement. This transformative program empowers individuals to become advocates and leaders who champion socially, environmentally, and economically responsible practices in food production and distribution. Our Fellows receive extensive training without tuition fees, enhancing accessibility for all participants. Over a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, they learn to grow diverse crops, support community gardens, and integrate food and ecological literacy into educational initiatives. Following this training, Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to apply their skills. Our mission focuses on increasing access to healthy foods, fostering partnerships, and nurturing the next generation of food advocates, ensuring that together we can build a resilient local food system.
