Home Delivered Meals, also known as Meals on Wheels, offers hot noon meals to seniors aged 60 and over in Clarinda, IA, ensuring that those who need food assistance receive nutritious meals delivered right to their doors. This vital program not only provides meal delivery but also includes home visits, allowing our dedicated volunteer drivers to engage in brief conversations and conduct informal wellness checks, fostering connection and care among participants. Each recipient receives a monthly statement with a suggested contribution amount to help offset meal costs, making it accessible while encouraging community support. In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our services to deliver 10 frozen and shelf-stable meals regularly, ensuring our seniors can maintain their health and nutrition without compromise.
