Located in Clive, Iowa, the Family Enrichment Center (FEC) is dedicated to empowering families at risk of long-term instability through comprehensive support services. Our mission is to facilitate self-sufficiency and economic independence by offering a range of resources, including family support, education, training, and employment opportunities. As the grantee for the Family Development and Self-Sufficiency (FaDSS) program in Polk County, we provide personalized assistance to families participating in the Family Investment Program (FIP) and PROMISE JOBS. Our approach involves regular home visits and a strength-based methodology to help families set goals and achieve stability. FEC offers vital services, including housing assistance, childcare resources, life skills training, and access to our on-site food pantry and clothing closet.
