The Iowa Individual Disaster Assistance Grant Program (IIAGP) is dedicated to providing essential financial support to families in Council Bluffs and surrounding areas affected by natural disasters. Activated in response to a governor-issued disaster proclamation, this program focuses on assisting households with an annual income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Eligible families can receive grants of up to $5,000 to alleviate immediate needs such as temporary housing, food assistance, replacement of personal property, and home repairs after a disaster. To access this crucial aid, families can download the application and submit it to a local Community Action Association before the deadline. Your road to recovery is our priority, and we are here to help you rebuild during challenging times.
