About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Cresco, IA, we are dedicated to fostering a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. We empower aspiring leaders through comprehensive training that emphasizes organic food system education. Our Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for selected individuals to engage in a six-month, hands-on experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they will develop practical skills in cultivating diverse crops, managing community and school gardens, and promoting ecological literacy. Following this immersive training, Fellows participate in a Community Action Year, working alongside regional non-profit organizations to implement innovative health care education and enhance access to emergency food and resources across communities. We believe in making our program accessible without tuition fees, inspiring the next generation of advocates to support farmers markets and strengthen local food distribution networks. Join us in transforming communities through sustainable food practices and be part of a movement that uplifts and educates.
