Located in Creston, IA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive, hands-on education in organic food systems, this Fellowship eliminates tuition fees to ensure accessibility for all aspiring Fellows. Participants engage in a six-month immersive program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they grow diversified crops, implement innovative health education sessions, support community gardens, and promote ecological literacy in schools. Additionally, they collaborate with local non-profits during their Community Action Year to enhance access to healthy foods, foster farmers markets, and bolster community food initiatives. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with immersive experiences running from May to October.
