Home Delivered Meals, part of the Meals on Wheels program in Creston, IA, provides essential hot lunch deliveries to seniors aged 60 and older, as well as their caregivers, on days when the local senior center operates. More than just meal delivery, this service includes a friendly home visit from our dedicated volunteer drivers, who offer essential wellness checks and a warm conversation, ensuring that seniors feel connected and supported. Participants receive a monthly statement suggesting a contribution to help cover the meal costs. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our program to include regular deliveries of 10 frozen and shelf-stable meals for increased convenience and safety.
