About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in De Witt, IA, cultivates the next generation of food system advocates through a transformative, hands-on training program. Our fellowship empowers individuals to educate their communities and promote a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Through dynamic partnerships, fellows learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education, maintain community gardens, and enhance food literacy in schools. With no tuition fees, we ensure that our program is accessible to all. Over six months of immersive experience at our farm, fellows engage in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to apply their training effectively. Applications are accepted annually until March, with experiences starting in May and running through October, inviting passionate individuals to join us in supporting resilient local food systems and greater access to healthy foods.
