Caring Hands Eastview Food Pantry serves the communities of Altoona and Des Moines, Iowa, by providing essential food assistance to individuals and families in need. As a proud partner of DMARC, we offer a wide variety of nutritional food options, including meat, dairy, canned goods, cereals, and staple items, allowing families to select twelve items per family member once a month. During these challenging times, we remain dedicated to ensuring access to emergency food while prioritizing the safety of our clients and volunteers. Our pantry operates with adjusted procedures to ensure health precautions; visitors should stay in their cars upon arrival, where they'll receive a number for service and be called in one at a time for shopping, while those in need of weekly items will receive pre-packed food orders.
