The Iowa Individual Disaster Assistance Grant Program (IIAGP), managed by the Iowa Community Action Association in Fort Dodge, provides crucial financial support to families affected by disasters. Activated by a Governor's disaster proclamation, this program offers grants of up to $5,000 to households with an annual income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. These funds can assist with essential needs such as temporary housing, food assistance, replacement of personal property, and necessary home repairs. To apply for aid, interested families can easily download the application and submit it to their local Community Action Association before the specified deadline.
