About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Glenwood, IA, is dedicated to nurturing future leaders who advocate for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic values. Through this transformative program, we provide comprehensive organic food system education without tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all. Our talented Fellows engage in hands-on experiences that include cultivating diverse crops on a market-style farm, facilitating innovative health education sessions, maintaining school and community gardens, and promoting food literacy in schools. Additionally, they actively support farmers markets, direct-to-consumer initiatives, and community food coalitions. Over the course of six months at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, selected Fellows apply their knowledge in collaboration with local non-profit organizations to drive meaningful change. Applications are accepted until March of the application year, with the program running from May to October.
