At Breastfeeding Peer Support in Grinnell, IA, we believe in the vital role of breastfeeding in creating healthy bonds and providing optimal nutrition for infants. Our program focuses on empowering new mothers by providing essential resources such as breast pumps and nursing supplements, along with personalized coaching from experienced mothers who understand the challenges of breastfeeding. We foster a supportive community where new moms can connect and share experiences, ensuring every mother has access to the guidance and encouragement she needs. To participate in our program, mothers must be WIC participants residing in Jasper, Mahaska, Marshall, Poweshiek, Tama, Boone, Hardin, or Story counties, have a family income at or below 185% of the federal poverty level, and be breastfeeding an infant or child. Together, we promote maternal and infant health through education, support, and community connection.
