The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Grinnell, IA, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. We offer a transformative program that empowers Fellows through comprehensive education in organic farming and food systems, all at no cost to ensure accessibility. During a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows gain hands-on training in diverse agricultural practices, community garden maintenance, and the integration of food and ecological literacy into educational curricula. Following their residency, Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to implement innovative programs such as farmer's markets and health-focused food distribution channels. Our mission emphasizes the urgency of creating equitable access to healthy food and fostering community-resilient food systems in the heart of Iowa.
