The Selma Schimmel Vital Grant in Grinnell, IA, is dedicated to providing essential support for individuals experiencing financial hardship due to chronic, terminal, or rare conditions, including cancer, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s Disease. Our mission is to alleviate some of the burdens faced by those in difficult situations by offering utility assistance and grocery assistance, ensuring individuals receive the help they need to focus on their health. While this grant covers either utilities or groceries, we collaborate with other organizations to connect clients with additional resources and support. We welcome those in need to reach out and explore the assistance available through our program.
