About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hiawatha, IA, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders committed to a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. We sponsor and empower Fellows through comprehensive training programs that offer organic food system education without any tuition costs, ensuring accessibility for all. Our initiative not only encourages organic farming practices but also supports community engagement through diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, implementing health education sessions, maintaining gardens, and promoting food literacy within schools. As part of their journey, selected Fellows participate in a six-month immersive experience at our farm campus, followed by a year of community action where they collaborate with local non-profits to effect real change. We invite passionate individuals to apply before March each year for an enriching experience that runs from May to October, making a lasting impact on food access and community well-being.
