Family Development and Self-Sufficiency (FaDSS) is dedicated to empowering low-income families in Indianola, IA, and surrounding counties to break the cycle of poverty through personalized support and resources. Our approach focuses on one-on-one meetings with family development specialists who guide families in addressing critical barriers such as unemployment, substance abuse, education, and mental health challenges. By utilizing tailored assessment tools and goal-setting techniques, we help families create actionable plans to enhance their overall well-being. With support centers located across Hardin, Marshall, Tama, Story, and Poweshiek counties, we strive to foster resilience and self-sufficiency in every family we serve. Eligibility for our services includes participation in the Family Investment Program (FIP/TANF), and we invite families to reach out to their local center to explore the available programs and support.
