Family Development and Self-Sufficiency (FaDSS) is dedicated to empowering low-income families in Iowa Falls, IA, to overcome challenges and break free from the cycle of poverty. Our approach centers around personalized one-on-one meetings facilitated by family development specialists who work closely with each family to identify barriers such as unemployment, substance abuse, and educational or health-related issues. Through our five family development centers located across Hardin, Marshall, Tama, Story, and Poweshiek counties, we provide essential support that includes financial management, goal-setting, and access to resources. Families must participate in the Family Investment Program (FIP/TANF) and reside in specific counties to qualify for our services. We believe in the strength of collaboration, and together with families, we foster the skills and resilience necessary for lasting self-sufficiency.
