The Iowa Individual Disaster Assistance Grant Program (IIAGP) in Mount Pleasant, IA, is dedicated to supporting families impacted by disasters through direct financial assistance. Initiated after the Governor declares a disaster, this program provides vital grants to households with an annual income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, offering up to $5,000 per qualifying household. The funds can be allocated for essential needs such as temporary housing, food assistance, personal property replacement, and home repairs. We encourage families in need to download the application and connect with their local Community Action Association to access the assistance they deserve during challenging times.
