Family Development and Self-Sufficiency (FaDSS) is dedicated to empowering low-income families in Nevada, IA, to overcome poverty through personalized support and development. Our approach centers on one-on-one engagements, where family development specialists work closely with families to identify barriers such as unemployment, health challenges, and educational obstacles. With multiple family development centers across Hardin, Marshall, Tama, Story, and Poweshiek counties, we provide vital resources to help families set achievable goals, manage finances, and foster lasting change. To participate in our programs, families must be enrolled in the Family Investment Program (FIP/TANF) and reside in specific counties.
