Based in Newton, IA, HIRTA Helps RSVP is dedicated to supporting older adults through vital services such as non-emergency medical transportation, food assistance, and companionship. Our program, powered by AmeriCorps Seniors, is focused on enhancing the quality of life for community members in Central Iowa, particularly in Madison and Marion Counties. We believe in the importance of accessible support; therefore, our services are available without any fees, although we welcome donations to sustain our mission. Individuals can easily obtain assistance by completing an intake assessment to ensure tailored support that meets their needs. We are also actively seeking volunteers who wish to make a difference in the lives of older adults; if current opportunities do not align with your interests, we will gladly work with you to find a suitable placement.
