The Iowa Individual Disaster Assistance Grant Program (IIAGP), operated by the Iowa Community Action Association, is dedicated to providing immediate financial relief to families impacted by disasters in Oelwein and surrounding areas. Activated following a disaster proclamation by the Governor, this program serves households with annual incomes at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, offering grants of up to $5,000. These funds can assist with critical needs such as temporary housing, food assistance, personal property replacement, and home repairs, ensuring families can begin to rebuild their lives after a disaster. To apply, interested families can download the application and submit it to a local Community Action Association by the designated deadline.
