Located in Oelwein, IA, the MOVE! Weight Management Program is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion strategies. Our mission is to ensure that every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities is screened annually for obesity and offered tailored referrals to a variety of weight management services. We provide multiple avenues for support, including engaging group sessions, personalized telephone lifestyle coaching, and the innovative TeleMOVE! program that allows in-home messaging and clinician contact. For those who prefer self-directed management, our MOVE! Coach mobile app is available. Additionally, we offer medical options such as weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who continue to face challenges despite initial efforts with the MOVE! program.
