The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Red Oak, IA, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates for equitable food systems. Our program empowers Fellows through comprehensive education on organic farming practices and sustainable food systems. By providing a tuition-free experience, we ensure that this vital training is accessible to all aspiring leaders. During the six-month immersive segment at our Allegheny Farm Campus, participants engage in hands-on learning, from growing diversified crops to managing community gardens and supporting local farmers' markets. Following this, the Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with regional non-profits to implement innovative health education initiatives and expand access to nutritious food within their communities. We invite passionate individuals to apply by March each year and join us from May to October in making a tangible difference in their food systems.
