Home Delivered Meals, also known as Meals on Wheels, provides essential food assistance by delivering hot noon meals to seniors aged 60 and older in Shenandoah, IA, along with their caregivers. This program not only ensures that nutritious meals reach those in need, but also includes home visits, offering a friendly conversation and informal wellness check by our dedicated volunteer drivers. Participants will receive a monthly statement suggesting a contribution to help offset meal costs, making it accessible for everyone. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we currently offer 10 frozen and/or shelf-stable meals regularly to maintain safety and nourishment.
