The Iowa Individual Disaster Assistance Grant Program (IIAGP) is a vital initiative managed by the Iowa Community Action Association, designed to provide financial support to families affected by disasters in Urbandale, IA and surrounding areas. Activated following a disaster proclamation from the Governor, this program offers grants to households earning 200% or less of the federal poverty level, with eligible families receiving up to $5,000. These funds can be utilized for essential needs such as temporary housing, food assistance, personal property replacement, and home repairs, helping families regain stability in challenging times. To apply for assistance, interested households can easily download the application and submit it to their local Community Action Association before the deadline.
