The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Washington, IA is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators for a fair and sustainable food system. Our program empowers Fellows through hands-on training in organic food system education, allowing them to engage in meaningful work that promotes social, environmental, and economic justice. Over six months, selected Fellows participate in immersive, experiential learning at our Farm Campus, where they grow diversified crops, implement innovative health care educational sessions, and support community initiatives like school gardens and farmers markets. After this enriching experience, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to amplify their impact. We prioritize accessibility by offering this transformative experience at no cost, ensuring that passionate individuals can participate and contribute to building healthier, more equitable food systems in the region.
