The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Bellevue, ID, is dedicated to cultivating future leaders who advocate for a just and sustainable food system. Our program empowers selected Fellows with hands-on training in organic farming, food education, and community engagement without charging tuition, ensuring accessibility for all. Over a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows learn to grow and distribute a variety of crops, implement innovative health care educational sessions, maintain community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in schools. Additionally, they support farmers markets and develop channels to enhance access to healthy foods while actively participating in community food initiatives. Following this foundational experience, our Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to apply their skills and make a measurable impact. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
