The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Burley, ID, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. This program empowers selected Fellows to engage in transformative experiences that blend organic food system education with hands-on agricultural practice. By participating in a six-month intensive at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows learn to cultivate diverse crops on market-style farms, implement innovative health education initiatives, and develop community gardens that enhance local food accessibility. Our mission is grounded in promoting equity, and we ensure accessibility by not charging tuition for the Fellowship. With a focus on food and ecological literacy, Fellows also mentor future cohorts and collaborate with regional non-profit organizations during their Community Action Year. We encourage interested individuals to apply by March each year, with the Fellowship experience typically running from May to October.
