Rx for Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (RxFFV) in Coeur D Alene, ID, is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals facing food insecurity, particularly those with diabetes and prediabetes. Our program addresses the urgent need for fresh food access by providing participants with vouchers that enable them to shop for fresh fruits and vegetables at local vendors at no cost. In collaboration with community clinics and retailers, we also offer valuable nutrition education to support healthier lifestyle choices. Each participant, referred by a physician, enrolls in our comprehensive 6-month program designed to empower families to take charge of their health through better nutrition.
