The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Council, ID, is dedicated to cultivating a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. Through this hands-on program, we sponsor and empower fellows to become advocates and educators in sustainable food practices. Our fellowship offers organic food system education without tuition costs, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring leaders. Participants engage in a transformative six-month residency at our farm, gaining practical experience in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, implementing health-oriented educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. After their fellowship, selected fellows spend a Community Action Year collaborating with regional nonprofit organizations, fostering greater community involvement and promoting access to healthy foods.
