Rx for Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (RxFFV) is dedicated to supporting individuals in Council, ID, who are food insecure and face the challenges of diabetes or prediabetes. Our mission is to enhance access to fresh fruits and vegetables through vital partnerships with local clinics and retailers. We provide eligible families with vouchers that allow them to shop at local vendors for fresh produce at no cost, ensuring nutritious options are within reach. Additionally, our program includes nutrition education to empower participants to make informed dietary choices. Referrals from physicians enable individuals to enroll in this 6-month initiative, helping them manage their health through improved nutrition and access to healthy food resources.
