The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Declo, ID, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to champion a food system that is just, sustainable, and health-focused. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity for selected participants to engage in a six-month, hands-on educational experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they gain essential skills in organic food system education and community engagement. Participants have the chance to grow and distribute diverse crops, lead innovative health education sessions, manage community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in local schools. By supporting farmers markets and enhancing access to healthy foods, our Fellows play a crucial role in fostering community food coalitions and mentoring future advocates for equitable food systems. With no tuition fees, we prioritize accessibility, making it easier for passionate individuals to join us in this important work. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October, providing a transformative experience that extends into a Community Action Year in collaboration with regional non-profits.
