Based in Declo, ID, the Rx for Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (RxFFV) program is dedicated to supporting food-insecure individuals with diabetes and prediabetes by enhancing their access to fresh, nutritious produce. Through vital partnerships with local clinics and retailers, we provide vouchers that allow eligible families to shop for fresh fruits and vegetables at no cost. Our program not only helps participants improve their diets, but also offers essential nutrition education, empowering them to manage their health effectively. Individuals are referred by healthcare providers and can enroll in this comprehensive 6-month program, bringing hope and healthier choices to their everyday lives.
