Located in Firth, ID, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship offers a transformative opportunity for individuals passionate about creating a just food system through a comprehensive training program. Our Fellowship empowers participants to become educators and advocates for sustainable food practices that prioritize social equity, environmental stewardship, and economic fairness. We provide in-depth organic food system education, enabling Fellows to engage in meaningful community initiatives such as cultivating and distributing diverse crops, running educational programs on health and nutrition, and enhancing school and community gardens. Additionally, Fellows support local farmers' markets and direct-to-consumer sales, develop accessible food distribution channels, and collaborate with organizations dedicated to fostering food equity. Selected participants immerse themselves in a six-month experiential learning journey at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills to benefit regional non-profits. Our program is designed to be accessible, with no tuition fees, ensuring that passionate individuals have the chance to make a real impact. Applications are accepted annually until March, with the Fellowship running from May to October.
