About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Fruitland, ID, is dedicated to transforming our food systems to be equitable, sustainable, and community-focused. Through hands-on training and education, we empower aspiring advocates and educators to champion a food system that nourishes both people and the planet. Our Fellowship provides a comprehensive six-month experiential program at our campus, where participants learn about organic agriculture, food justice, and ecological literacy. Fellows have the opportunity to collaborate with local partners on initiatives such as community gardens, farmers markets, and health education programs. By fostering skills in diversified crop production and community engagement, our Fellows are equipped to make a significant impact during their Community Action Year, continuing to promote food assistance and access to healthy foods in partnership with non-profit organizations. We passionately believe in accessibility and do not charge tuition, ensuring that our vital training reaches a diverse group of changemakers. Applications are accepted until March for our immersive experience that runs from May to October.
