About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Garden City, ID, is dedicated to nurturing passionate individuals who aspire to be influential advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through hands-on education and immersive experiences, we train Fellows to champion practices that are socially, environmentally, and economically responsible. Our program offers organic food system education and incentivizes community engagement by allowing Fellows to work collaboratively with local partners to grow diversified crops, manage community gardens, and lead educational initiatives. We prioritize accessibility by offering this Fellowship without tuition fees, allowing participants to focus on their mission. Selected Fellows engage in a transformative six-month residential Farm and Food Study at our campus, followed by a hands-on Community Action Year where they partner with regional non-profits to implement innovative food solutions and enhance food access within their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the Fellowship running from May to October.
