We offer a comprehensive Farm and Food Study program at AMI's Allegheny Farm, free of tuition to ensure accessibility for all aspiring Fellows. Participants engage in hands-on education about organic farming, sustainable practices, and food literacy. Throughout their six-month immersive experience, they operate a market-style farm, run educational initiatives with healthcare partners, foster community and school gardens, and enhance food distribution channels to improve access to healthy foods. After their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to implement impactful food initiatives. Applications are accepted until March each year, providing a transformative experience from May to October.
