Located in Hazelton, ID, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating passionate advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. As part of the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship provides comprehensive, tuition-free training that empowers individuals to promote food justice, environmental sustainability, and economic equity. Participants engage in hands-on education about organic farming, manage diverse crop production on market-style farms, and facilitate community health initiatives through educational sessions. The fellowship emphasizes practical applications, enabling Fellows to maintain community gardens, support farmers markets, and teach vital concepts of food and ecological literacy within schools.
