Rx for Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (RxFFV) is dedicated to supporting individuals in Inkom, ID, who are grappling with food insecurity while managing diabetes or prediabetes. Our mission is to enhance access to nutritious, fresh fruits and vegetables through innovative partnerships with local healthcare providers and retailers. Participants in our program receive vouchers that enable them to shop freely for healthy produce at local vendors, ensuring that cost is not a barrier to good nutrition. Additionally, we offer essential nutrition education to empower our community towards healthier living. Referrals from physicians allow eligible households to join our transformative 6-month program, fostering better health outcomes and a stronger connection to healthy food options in the region.
