The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Kimberly, ID, is dedicated to fostering a fair and sustainable food system. Through a comprehensive training program, we empower fellows to become passionate advocates and educators who promote social, environmental, and economic justice in agriculture. Our initiative provides extensive organic food system education to enhance knowledge and skills, ensuring that our training is accessible without any tuition fees. Over the course of six months, fellows engage in hands-on experiences at our farm, collaborating with community partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, conduct educational health sessions, and maintain school and community gardens. We also focus on integrating food and ecological literacy into educational spaces, supporting local farmers' markets and consumer initiatives, and building channels for access to healthy foods. Following this immersive experience, fellows enter a Community Action Year, applying their training to work with regional non-profits. Candidates are encouraged to apply by March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
