About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Malad City, ID, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders committed to social, environmental, and economic justice in our food systems. We sponsor and empower Fellows through comprehensive, tuition-free training, allowing diverse participants to become teachers and advocates for sustainable practices. Our program provides expert education in organic farming, enables the growth and distribution of diversified crops, and supports the implementation of educational health initiatives. Participants collaborate with community partners to maintain school gardens, promote food and ecological literacy, and enhance access to healthy foods via community coalitions and farmers markets. Over a six-month immersive experience at our farm campus, followed by a year of practical community engagement, Fellows gain the skills and knowledge essential to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Applications are accepted until March for the program running from May to October each year, welcoming those eager to transform our food landscape.
