About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Marsing, ID, we are dedicated to empowering individuals to become advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers hands-on education in organic farming and food systems at our scenic Allegheny Farm Campus. We believe in accessibility, which is why there is no tuition fee for participants. Over a transformative six-month fellowship, participants engage in a diverse range of activities such as cultivating crops, establishing school gardens, and implementing innovative health education sessions. After completing their Fellowship, participants enter a Community Action Year, where they apply their gained knowledge and skills in collaboration with local non-profits. By integrating food and ecological literacy into communities, supporting farmers markets, and promoting healthy food access, our Fellows help forge resilient local food systems. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
