About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
Based in Montpelier, ID, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a just food system. Our program empowers Fellows through comprehensive organic food system education and hands-on training, emphasizing social, environmental, and economic justice. Without any tuition fee, we ensure accessibility for all aspiring leaders. Selected Fellows immerse themselves in a six-month experiential residency at the Allegheny Farm, where they gain practical skills and knowledge to foster community food initiatives such as growing diversified crops, maintaining school gardens, and enhancing food literacy. In their subsequent Community Action Year, Fellows collaborate with local non-profits to implement their learnings and expand access to healthy food options. Applications are open until March, with the program running from May to October each year, encouraging passionate individuals to engage in meaningful work that supports a resilient food system.
