The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Moscow, ID, is dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system through comprehensive education and hands-on training. This unique Fellowship empowers participants to become advocates and mentors for social, environmental, and economic justice in food systems. Our program offers organic food system education without any tuition costs, ensuring accessibility for all. Selected Fellows engage in a six-month immersive experience at Allegheny Farm, where they learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, promote food and ecological literacy in educational settings, and implement community gardening projects. They also support farmers markets and develop distribution channels that increase access to healthy foods while collaborating with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year. Applications are accepted until March, with the program typically running from May to October, as we strive to create a strong network of knowledgeable advocates for food assistance and community empowerment.
