About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Mountain Home, ID, empowers individuals through comprehensive training in sustainable agriculture and food systems activism. Our program champions social, environmental, and economic justice by providing a fostered environment for Fellows to gain hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA. Without any tuition fees, we ensure that education is accessible for all. Throughout the six-month immersive experience, selected Fellows engage in organic food system education, work on a market-style farm to grow and distribute diversified crops, and lead community initiatives such as maintaining gardens and supporting farmers' markets. This fellowship not only integrates food and ecological literacy into educational frameworks but also encourages collaboration with regional non-profits during a subsequent Community Action Year. Join us to create a more equitable food system while gaining valuable skills and making community connections.
